As if enough fabulous events weren’t happening on Fashion’s Night Out [FNO], we just discovered that Fresh, one our absolute favorite beauty brands, is celebrating a birthday. And this particular birthday is a really big deal, because Fresh is turning 21! So, you know what that means, a crazy night of drinking, or in this case, Berry Mocktails.

On FNO, guests will be treated to libations at the Union Square location from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM in New York, as the company launches their limited edition Fresh Turns 21 Oval Soaps. Additionally, Fresh Co-founder Lev Glazman will be mingling with customers and dolling out beauty advice. Illustrator R. Nichols will create customized stationery for guests who spend $125 or more. Please note, The Fresh Turns 21 Collection will only be available in stores and online for a short time, and we think Fashion’s Night Out is the ideal time to scoop up these goodies.

Having a flawless complexion is the cornerstone of looking beautiful. It doesn’t matter how skinny you are or what designer you are wearing if your face looks forgettable. And, right now, everyone is craving natural ingredients to achieve that gorgeous skin tone.

We’ve sampled several products, and we are loving Vapour Organic Beauty. The Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation and the Atmosphere Luminous Foundation cater to specific skin types and work at extraordinarily high levels. It’s so refreshing (and borderline shocking) when a product actually performs as promised.

Super easy to apply, we felt the first product was ideal for combination skin, and it evened out imperfections. Brimming with Frankincense (hello, Christmas!) and Lotus flowers, this product had more of a calming effect among testers.

As for the Luminous Foundation, we felt this worked better on dry skin. Quite simply, the skin texture felt healthier and our faces truly glowed. The product stood up to perspiration, and made us feel, well, beautiful!

Cruelty, chemical, and gluten free, all we can say is Vapour Organic Beauty redefines eco chic glamour!

      The Holistic Dynamic Duo

Cecilia Wong is a New York facialist with a particular talent for taking a holistic approach to beauty. One of our staffers met her ever so briefly, and whatever she is doing is clearly working, because Wong’s skin radiates with a natural beauty. Clearly, this gal-about-town takes care of her complexion, so when we tried the Cecilia Wong Skincare line, we were hoping for similar results.

Of everything we sampled, there were 2 clear favorites among testers. We took a shine to the Rejuvenating Toner Mist and the Age Defense Black Currant Anti-Aging Mask. This dynamic duo calmed our skin, and the toner spritz felt like a secret weapon for combating oil. As for the mask, we used it a few times a week, and everyone noticed slight imperfections being smoothed out. This product utilized black currant seed oil to fight free radical damage and wrinkles.

Overall, everything worked as well as it smelled. And that’s saying a lot, because the products had the loveliest aromas. Cecilia Wong Skincare is cruelty free with ingredients that utilize organically grown herbs and botanicals for amazing results that really take your beauty base back to a more natural state.

Spoil Yourself in an Earthy Jewel Box!

It feels like everyone is constantly on the quest to achieve a slamming (bikini-ready) body, but the era of brut tough trainers who shame you into working out is so passé. These days, it’s all about yoga and achieving inner peace. The overwhelming philosophy is that if your personal life is brewing with turmoil, then having a killer figure is rather pointless. Everything needs to work together in harmony, and this attitude is extending to vacation plans as well. Enter the Hacienda de San Antonio. Constructed in excess of 120 years ago in the Mexican hilltops, the property feels more like an earthy jewel box that only exists in fairy-tales. Situated on a coffee plantation, the Hacienda spans on endlessly with trails, gardens and everything beautiful. Nothing is contrived, and for the first time ever, there will be a Yoga Retreat held from Saturday, July 28th to Saturday, August 4th 2012. Aside from daily yoga classes, LLD staffers remain most intrigued by the farm to table style of eating that features organic and home grown food. We even hear that you can forage for your own dinner – if the mood strikes!

We just love when nature inspires mind-blowing experiences. Rates for the week are: $2,800 for a shared room and $4,300 for a single room, which include all meals, yoga classes and transportation.
